Project Manager’s Update August 2022

Our first stage of public consultation closed on 12 August 2022. Thank you to everyone who took the time to read our information, attend one of our in-person events and give us feedback on our early proposals.

Over 200 people came to speak to us at the in person events in July and we’ve received over 130 responses to the consultation. The consultation boards can still be viewed HERE and a copy of the maps HERE.

We are now analysing the comments we’ve received in order to ensure that they’re considered as part of the development of the project. In the Autumn, we will published an Interim Feedback Report, which will summarise the findings from the consultation and set out how we’re addressing them.

Over the summer we have been out onsite collecting baseline data, including our ongoing ecology and archaeology surveys and traffic counts. We are also continuing our design and engineering work and starting to undertake some of our offshore environmental assessments.

Early next year we plan to carry out statutory consultation on more detailed proposals and preliminary environment information, at which point there will be another opportunity to comment on our proposals.

We’re always keen to hear your thoughts on our proposals. If you would like to provide feedback at any time during the development process please do email us
