We’ve almost made it to the end of 2022 and like many, the Five Estuaries team are looking forward to the Christmas period.
Looking ahead to the new year, in early 2023 we intend to publish our Statement of Community Consultation. This document sets out when and how we will consult with the local community throughout our second stage of consultation – known as statutory consultation.
After the publication of this Statement, we will carry out statutory consultation. At this stage we will present our preliminary environmental information and more developed proposals for Five Estuaries Offshore Wind Farm. It’s an opportunity for the community and local stakeholders to comment on the Project proposals before they are finalised, ahead of submitting our planning application towards the end of 2023.
Engagement with the local community is an important part of the development of the Project and your views are important to us. Feedback from the first stage of consultation held over the summer this year, has been valuable to us and has helped to inform the development of our plans. The aim of the statutory consultation will be to ensure that the Project’s potential benefits and impacts are understood, and to collect further feedback that will help shape our application.
Land Interest Questionnaires
Earlier this year Land Information Questionnaires (LIQs) were distributed by our land agents Dalcour Maclaren for land parcels currently classed as unregistered. The LIQs will help to identify people who may have an interest in land associated with the project. If you have received a LIQ, we encourage you to complete and return this as soon as possible, to help us make sure we communicate with the right people with an interest in land within our proposals.
